Welcome to our fantasy eSports strategy website and if you are new to all of this, you are starting at the right place!
Our site will explain how the sites like AlphaDraft and Vulcun work and help you understand what you need to try to accomplish in different games so you increase your chances to make money.
Fantasy Sports Overview
Fantasy sports has been around for about 30 years and the concept was pretty simple, you take turns picking players with the league and the players you pick become your fantasy team.
Typically it’s called fantasy because leagues usually consist of 8-12 people picking the best players from sports leagues that have 30-33 teams.
So your teams all look amazing on paper because you basically take all the good players.
Daily Fantasy Sports Emerge
Then about five years ago FanDuel and others changed the way fantasy sports is played by making the competition daily.
Instead of picking players and following them for the whole year you just picked players for the day every time you want to play.
But what they did to make the game a little more challenging is they treat players like stocks and give every player a value and give you a salary cap on which you can spend. You have to stay within the salary cap to make your team valid and you are disqualified and your team is invalid if your team goes over it.
Now with players being like stocks, if you select the best player with your first pick, you have to find cheaper players for the rest of your team to stay under the salary cap. This way users can’t just take all the best players.
This is where the skill comes in.
DFS is Legal Because of the “Skill” Component
“Skill” is an important term in this industry because “skill” is one of the reasons we can play this game.
Because daily fantasy sports (DFS) isn’t seen as a game of luck, rather a game of skill, playing DFS is legal according to current U.S. Gaming Laws.
If you exceed a net profit over $600 in a calendar year you will also have to fill out a W9 or a 1099 and you will have to pay taxes on your winnings.
Still, this is a good problem to have!
Daily Fantasy Sports Starts Branching Out
With the great success of FanDuel over the years, sites like DraftKings and many other sites have arrived.
It’s a monkey see monkey do type of business and other people feel they can create a company just as good if not better.
Now there are about 20 legit daily fantasy sports sites that you can choose from.
Since fantasy sports isn’t going away anytime soon and are becoming more and more popular, AlphaDraft and Vulcun have used this same model but geared it toward eSports!
